This is standard practice across the industry: it protects the R&D investment on both sides while keeping your formula made only for you.
Yes. A development fee applies when custom formulation begins, scaled to the complexity of your formula. This confirms serious intent and covers your chemist's bench time and raw materials during development. If you approve the sample and proceed to a bulk production order, 50% of the development fee is credited toward your order. The fee is non-refundable if the sample is provided and no order follows.
